A GAMMA RAY ATTACK

EMP: I am sure you have rarely heard that acronym. It means Electromagnetic PULSE.
What does it mean and where does it come from?
Well, the sun is a massive continues exploding bomb, relatively stable somewhat. But sometimes it ‘coughs’. And when that cough is in the direction of the earth, we see it as sun flares.
It does cause lots of problems for life on earth. The sun flare pushes off massive energetic particles towards the earth, chiefly among them being gamma rays. These high energy particles can blind satellites, disrupt communications and power systems and sometimes can fry out the satellites altogether.
Well, the sun isn’t the point here because it is not an enemy, and it is not likely that the sun will be angry enough to cough so badly as to fry the earth.
The real culprit is man himself.
EMP had been kept low by scientist because of potential wrong application by rouge regimes against another target Nation.
An EMP attack can effectively be deployed as a weapon of war. How? I will tell you now.
Modern man now has his life intricately woven together by electronics and electrical technology. That is what makes an EMP attack a deadly paralyzing strike.
All it takes is to send a small nuclear bomb in a low earth orbit, and it will just take 90 munities max to strike anywhere on earth. Once detonated in the upper atmosphere, it will wipe out the power systems, fry out the telecommunication systems, fry out the computer chips. Destroy the modern banking and transport systems and hospital systems, etc. Think about how deadly such an attack can be.
US and some other Western countries are actively working hard to find ways to wade off such an attack before it happens. After all, ‘never say never’.
What will your country do in the event of such a catastrophe?
You see, that is why I told you that we are nowhere near a great nation. LOOOL!!!!
We haven’t been able to feed ourselves talk less of technology. I heard the VP the other day lecturing on how ICT will transform Nigeria. I almost asked him to keep shut and focus on his job abeg. What does he know about ICT, or does he think that Facebooking is part of ICT. LOL! Let’s feed the IDPs first jareeeee and leave EMP attack to God as we always do. At the worst case, we will gather the pastors and Imams to pray for us. Shikinah!!!

Mobile Network Operators to earn $576B in six years

MOBILE network operators including Nigeria’s four major GSM players, MTN, Globacom, Airtel and Etisalat are among global telecommunications service providers expected to earn about $576 billion as revenues  by 2020.   These revenues are expected to come from a broader ecosystem, including areas of applications, content and advertising, which is going to be a 16 per cent rise in their revenues.   The GSM Association, which disclosed this in a report titled: The Mobile Economy 2014, noted that the trans formative effect of mobile has been made possible by significant capital investment by the mobile operators over recent years, totaling over $1 trillion in the last six years.     It informed that the mobile sector contributed $336 billion to public funding as at 2013, excluding regulatory and spectrum fees and it is projected to hit $465 billion in another six years from now.    While the mobile sector hoped to have created about 15.4 ...
