The table above, gives an overview of the internet subscription growth in the Nigeria telecoms industry, an overview of the GSM operators. This data is exclusive of the few broadband 4GLTE service providers just springing up in 2014. As soon as their data is available, I will make it available.
The Highlight shows that Year- Year between 2013 and 2014 September, the subscription grew by 24%, best performer being GLOBALCOM, followed by Airtel in the second place when you look at rate of increase . MTN remains the main dominant player with a total volume of 38.6M representing an increase of 24% over September of 2013. The lowest growth rate is of course ETISALAT over the period in question. Which may be a reflection of the perception of quality of the data service provided by ETISALAT from the subscribers’ perspective.
