A GAMMA RAY ATTACK
EMP: I am sure you have rarely heard that acronym. It means Electromagnetic PULSE. What does it mean and where does it come from? Well, the sun is a massive continues exploding bomb, relatively stable somewhat. But sometimes it ‘coughs’. And when that cough is in the direction of the earth, we see it as sun flares. It does cause lots of problems for life on earth. The sun flare pushes off massive energetic particles towards the earth, chiefly among them being gamma rays. These high energy particles can blind satellites, disrupt communications and power systems and sometimes can fry out the satellites altogether. Well, the sun isn’t the point here because it is not an enemy, and it is not likely that the sun will be angry enough to cough so badly as to fry the earth. The real culprit is man himself.
